Official : Angels Trade Carlos Estevez to the Phillies

The Official Deal
The Angels have agreed to send RHP Carlos Estevez to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for RHP George Klassen (#5 Prospect BA) and LHP Samuel Aldegheri (#7 Prospect BA). According to MLB’s Prospect Rankings, Klassen has slotted in as the Angels #3 prospect right behind Caden Dana and Christian Moore. Aldegheri has been listed as the Angels #8 prospect.
The Return
The return for the Angels looks like a VERY good one. The overall reaction on X showed many people in complete shock by the return the Angels were able to land for 2 months of Carlos Estevez. Phillies fans have also shown they are not happy with what they had to give up for Carlos Estevez. Klassen has great potential with a plus fastball, above average slider with a changeup. Aldegheri is a command guy who likely will fit in the backend of the rotation. Low 90’s fastball with a decent slider and curve.

Overall Thoughts
It’s a great move by Perry and Co getting this done. We’ll see how things develop with Klassen and Aldegheri but right now this deal looks like an absolute steal by Perry. There’s more work to be done, but this is a GREAT start by Perry. Let’s keep it rolling!
